Topaz Metallic, Short Wheel Base, Creme interior trim, a perfect combination!

It is not coincidentally that we know the first and second Dutch owner of this special Daimler, which results in a perfectly fitting history, that’s how we like to see it!

Originally, the Six was delivered new in Germany. The second owner imported it to the Netherlands many years ago, a common situation. This owner, a real enthusiast, had several Daimlers and drove very limited with each car, which has resulted in the attractive mileage.

The Six has a beautiful and rare color; Topaz Metallic. The interior is made of beautiful leather with a contrasting trim. Beautiful but above all unique. The combination of the Creme interior trim with the Topaz Metallic exterior is special. Of course you will find burr walnut in abundance. Wood that normally loses its deep color and shine, due to the influence of UV light. Not with this Six, the woodwork looks beautiful and is still completely original.

You will rarely find a Jaguar or Daimler in this condition. The chrome is in top condition, window frames are neatly in place. No parking dents present. A nice mileage. And the interior, it has already been mentioned, is really in top condition.

Daimler, that means ultimate luxury. The distinction with the most luxurious Jaguar XJ offspring, the Sovereign, can be found in chrome mirror caps, chrome handles, a more luxurious ribbed grille and trunk handle. Finer leather finishes the interior even more. And don’t miss the burr walnut tables in the back, with chrome hinges, beautiful!

Perhaps your eye has already fallen on it, but what is unique about this Daimler is that the original lambswool carpet set is still present and intact! This kind of sets have become a collector’s item and very difficult to find.

The engine is the reliable four-liter six-in-line, which runs large numbers of kilometers without any problems. The gearbox also has a particularly good reputation, commonly referred to as ‘bulletproof’.

The history is complete and extensive. Although very well maintained by the previous owner, there is always something for us to find. For example, both wheel bearings were replaced on our behalf, this was a point of attention. Some cooling hoses have been renewed and, of course, a service has been carried out, even though that was only 5,000 km ago. During this service it was noticed that the undercarriage looks very neat, no strange play is noticeable. An absolute plus is that the previous owner had the Daimler given a Dinitrol treatment by a specialist in rust prevention, in order to preserve the unique condition. This Dinitrol treatment took place in 2017 and still protects very well.

The automatic transmission shifts smoothly, the suspension feels solid. A ‘singing’ differential is a known ailment of the X300 Jaguars and Daimlers. The differential of this Daimler is very quiet, inaudible.

The exterior is in a very neat condition. There is no visible rust under the rear window. The chrome on both bumpers, which is becoming scarce these days, is in very good condition. The original Daimler Turbine rims look neat and the Six has four very neat Michelin winter tires with good profile.

An X300 is often seen as Jaguar’s most reliable XJ. Due to the relatively short production period, the model is now also becoming scarce; a good copy is increasingly difficult to find. It goes without saying that an X300 is a good investment.

You will of course find a lot of luxury in the Daimler for its time. It is equipped with an electrically operated and tiltable sliding roof, electrically operated seats, Climate Control and a Jaguar radio. Less obvious are, for example, the electrically adjustable steering wheel in depth and height. Even the headrests are electrically adjustable.

The Daimler will be delivered with a brand new MOT, valid until April 2023.

Of course, the service folder is present, complete with a fully completed maintenance booklet.

Come on, there must be something to complain about, wouldn’t you say? Apart from a single small scratch on the paintwork, I don’t really come across anything. Good to know is that we are still renovating the clock in the dashboard, at the moment the items were not in stock. That’s all? Yes, that’s all.

There is still a lot to say about this Daimler, but of course you only get a good picture when you look at the car and drive it. you are most welcome in Oirschot, the coffee is ready.
