A good, beautiful X300 is getting rarer and rarer.
This XJ6 from 1997 is one of the last of the X300 series. The color Spruce green varies from light, mossy green to almost black in the shade; beautiful to see. An interior and exterior in great condition, a chassis in top condition, absolutely everything exudes quality. That says something about the way this Jaguar has been driven in recent years. Definitely worth the investment, no doubt about that.
The XJ has an uncommon color; Spruce Green Metallic. The interior is made of beautiful Oatmeal leather, leather in very good condition. Of course you will find burr walnut in abundance. Wood that normally loses its deep color and shine due to the influence of UV light. Not with this XJ, the woodwork looks beautiful and is in new condition.
However, where time never seems to stand still is above your head, at the headlining. Sooner or later, driven a lot or not, the glue will slowly come off. Because this completely destroyed the condition of the car, we renovated it professionally. it really looks great and can look forward to the next 18 years.
The XJ6 looks very original; Original Jaguar radio, beautiful leather gear knob, no built-in car kit, just as it should be. Extra special are the beautiful Dimple rims in great condition; where the paintwork usually comes off and loses its shine, these original Jaguar rims look great. The 4 Michelin Pilot Premacy tires complete the whole thing.
The engine is the reliable 3239CC six-in-line, which runs large numbers of kilometers without any problems. Only 200km ago we had the necessary maintenance carried out by our technical partner Coventry BV.
During our general check-up we came to a nasty surprise; in a distant past some rust had been covered up. Disguised, because sealant and even aluminum tape had been used to ‘clean up’ the whole thing. After contact with the selling party, by the way certainly not the cause of this mess, we reached a compromise and of course we subsequently had this rust professionally tackled in the right way. The result? A beautiful XJ where his biggest enemy is banned again for a long time; rust. All well, right?
The automatic transmission shifts smoothly, the suspension feels solid. A ‘singing’ differential is a common ailment of the X300 Jaguars and Daimlers. The differential of this Jaguar is silent, inaudible.
An X300 is often seen as Jaguars’ most reliable XJ. Due to the relatively short production period, the model is now also becoming scarce; a good copy is increasingly difficult to find. It goes without saying that an X300 in this condition is a good investment.
The XJ6 will be delivered with an almost new MOT, valid until February 2022. The service folder is of course present, complete with a fully completed maintenance booklet. Our latest invoices are also available, also digitally.
The key set consists of two keys and one working remote control.
