A Jaguar XJ that has been properly cared for by its previous owner is something we all appreciate.

Recently, I acquired this XJ from a true enthusiast. Years of ownership, years of driving, and year after year the correct maintenance formed the foundation. No corners were cut. That care is reflected in the service history, but more importantly, it is evident in the condition of the car itself.

Upon arrival into our care, maintenance was carried out and the XJ was issued with a fresh MOT. Numerous items were checked and addressed, and the car has since covered more than 100 kilometres of test driving. To complete matters, a new Bosch battery has been fitted, so that is one less concern for the next owner.

It is always a shame when someone has to part with such an enjoyable and well-sorted XJ. Fortunately, only genuine enthusiasts tend to find their way here, ensuring that this Jaguar will once again end up in the right hands.

As mentioned, its previous owners were exceptionally careful. That is how this XJ drives, how it presents itself, and how it feels. No deferred maintenance. No corroded sills or floorpan. Everything is up to date and meticulously looked after. A beautifully preserved wooden steering wheel, a deep dark brown gear knob in excellent condition. This 3.2 V8 is ready for many more pleasurable miles.

Drive it over a poor road surface and the Jaguar remains solid and composed—something that cannot always be said when surveying the average offering. Nervous handling, worn steering wheels, sagging headlinings… this XJ is very different.

Visually, too, it delivers. The headlining was refurbished in the past and is now finished in black, which suits the Charcoal Black interior particularly well

The seats present very well. There are no unusual marks in the interior, aside from a small blemish on the armrest and some light entry wear on the seat bolster. Importantly, the leather itself remains intact.

Original Jaguar radio? Present. Light sensor? Certainly. Fully electric seats? Of course. The wooden steering wheel and matching wooden gear knob, already mentioned, complete the picture. Hard not to appreciate, really.

Open the bonnet and it is immediately clear that the engine bay is just as tidy. The same applies to the underside of the car, which is in particularly good condition. The usual problem areas show virtually no corrosion at all—genuinely remarkable. This is, quite simply, a very strong example of a true enthusiast-owned X308.

The bodywork of the Jaguar looks very neat. Naturally, after many years of enjoyment, a few light marks can be found, but nothing unexpected or distracting.

The complete service folder accompanies the car, including MOT certificates from previous years. The XJ will be delivered with a fresh MOT and one complete key set. Thanks to the recent maintenance, the new MOT, and the absence of deferred issues, this is an XJ that can be used daily without hesitation.

The minor points are best mentioned clearly. As stated, there are a few small scratches and scuffs here and there, but they are not intrusive. Occasionally, the ABS system shows a fault message; rectification of this is included in the asking price and will be carried out by us prior to delivery. The same applies to a minor exhaust-related noise, which we will also address. And that is all.

Much more could be said about this Jaguar, but a true impression is only gained by seeing and driving it. You are very welcome in Uden. Coffee will be ready.
