Spend some time with it and you quickly realise just how well judged the Freelander really is. It offers generous space, four-wheel drive, ample towing capability and an appearance that remains both smart and approachable. A Freelander is a car you can take anywhere with confidence.
This particular Freelander was offered to us by the Land Rover dealer. Given its evident condition and the standard of its maintenance, the deal was concluded without hesitation.
It is a fine and highly versatile 4×4. The original leather upholstery completes the car beautifully, while the climate control air conditioning works exactly as it should and adds notably to the comfort. It is easily spacious enough for a family with a dog; that is precisely how the previous owner used it, which explains the dog guard fitted in the rear. This too is an original Land Rover accessory and can be removed with ease whenever required.
Automatically folding mirrors, electric windows all round, central locking operated by either of the two original keys, and the previously mentioned Charcoal leather upholstery all contribute to a Freelander that is pleasingly well appointed.
Its full history is known, and from new this Freelander has been maintained by the supplying dealer. It shows. To further complement its overall condition, we carried out a service immediately upon arrival. In addition, a fresh MOT has been completed, the interior has been thoroughly cleaned, and the exterior has been professionally polished and treated with a protective coating.
This Freelander is powered by the proven 2.2 TD4 engine, producing 160 bhp. A refined and dependable unit, well known for covering higher mileages with ease when properly maintained.
A brief note on the interior. It presents very well; clean, intact and clearly cared for. The upholstery shows no damage, and even the driver’s entry bolster remains in tidy condition. All functions operate as intended, and the displays are clear and crisp. The rear seats fold in two sections, offering flexible and generous load space when required.
From the moment of acquisition, no faults or defects have been observed. The chassis feels solid and composed, with no unwanted noises or irregular behaviour. There are no warning lights or electronic issues to report. The tyres are in good, presentable condition, and the Freelander is equipped with an original Land Rover tow bar.
The history file is comprehensive. The original service wallet is present, including dealer cards, the service booklet and supporting maintenance invoices, allowing the car’s history to be properly traced. The most recent service and MOT were carried out in March 2026. The car is supplied with two remote keys. Simply put, a well-kept Land Rover, ready for its next owner.
As for imperfections; naturally, there are a few minor signs of use in the form of small scratches or light dents, though these are minimal. Thanks to the recent polish and protective coating, they are barely noticeable in daily use.
