What a handsome thing this L494 Range Rover Sport is. Sporting, yet never overtly flashy. A Range Rover with a fresh, original presence, a clear history, and a fully documented maintenance record. And do not be misled by the name of the colour, Mariana Black. In reality, it is a beautiful, deeply dark blue with many different faces.
The maintenance history is what truly matters. We acquired this Sport directly from a Belgian Land Rover dealer, originally for our own use. Over the past six months, my girlfriend has driven it daily to work, covering around 60 kilometres a day. Now that she will be working less, the time has come for a different car.
It has been maintained throughout without missing a single service. Even though the maintenance was already up to date, we still had a major service carried out immediately after purchase. The front suspension arms were renewed, as was the timing belt. Both the interior and exterior were then fully detailed. The result is a wonderfully driving Sport with an even more appealing presentation. Completely ready for its next enthusiast.
The Range Rover Sport is an exceptionally versatile motor car, which made it ideal for us. Slightly smaller than the Range Rover Vogue, so that bit easier to handle, yet still offering generous interior space and a high level of luxury. Luggage, a family, a dog, there is room for everything. Long distances, fast motorway miles, or a busy town centre full of speed bumps and obstacles, a Range Rover always feels at home. Add the electrically deployable tow bar, and you realise this is the ultimate all-rounder.
The beautifully finished leather in Almond, contrasted with Espresso, is a pleasure to behold. The large, electrically operated panoramic roof floods the cabin with natural light, enhancing the already generous sense of space. Laminated glass all around ensures a notably quiet ride, with minimal wind noise. The seats are electrically adjustable, including the bolsters of the backrests, allowing you to fine-tune the seating position to your preference.
The 8-speed automatic gearbox shifts smoothly and precisely. The large touchscreen is intuitive to operate, and your phone connects effortlessly for calls and music streaming. When reversing, the display provides a clear view of what is behind you, supported by parking sensors both front and rear.
On the move, the Sport feels effortlessly brisk. Unsurprising, given the strong 3.0 SDV6 producing 292 horsepower. One might expect higher fuel consumption, yet over the past 8,000 kilometres the onboard computer indicates an average of 8.8 litres per 100 km, an efficient 1:11.3.
The overall condition of this Range Rover is particularly good. No unwanted noises, no unusual vibrations, and naturally no warning lights or faults. Is there nothing to mention at all? As with any car, there are always minor points to note. In this case, a small scratch or blemish can be found, for instance on the left side of the rear bumper. Two of the wheels show slight corrosion. That said, the overall presentation of this Sport remains exceptionally fresh.
All invoices are present, including the original purchase invoice from 2014. The car is supplied with two remote keys, both in excellent condition.
