The Jaguar I-Pace, a modern Jaguar through and through.

Finished in Fuji White with a Light Oyster leather interior and, perhaps most importantly of all, cherished and enjoyed for years, exactly as it was intended to be.

It was bound to happen eventually; a fully electric British motor car joining our collection. Of course, I had driven an I-PACE before, but spending considerable time behind the wheel of this particular example genuinely impressed me, and in the best possible way. What a driver’s car. What remarkable refinement and composure.

The more time I spent with this I-PACE, the more I came to appreciate it. The driving range is genuinely impressive and, importantly, displayed realistically on the dashboard. Even when driven enthusiastically and with frequent demands on its performance, the projected range remains reassuringly stable and predictable.

Most importantly, the I-PACE still feels every inch a Jaguar. Comfortable, quiet, refined and exceptionally capable over long distances. It is a car you do not drive solely because it is practical, but because you genuinely enjoy being behind the wheel.

Finished in Fuji White with a Light Oyster leather interior, this I-PACE presents a particularly elegant specification. The light-coloured cabin creates an airy and luxurious atmosphere, while the black dashboard and aluminium accents provide a pleasing contrast.

What is perhaps most striking is how well the interior has stood the test of time. The leather remains in excellent condition, with even the driver’s seat bolster showing remarkably little wear. The cabin still feels fresh and well cared for. There are no signs of damaged trim and, while driving, there are none of the squeaks, rattles or unwanted noises that often begin to appear in modern cars as the years pass. Everything feels solid, well assembled and properly maintained.

Mechanically, this Jaguar is equally impressive. Having had just two previous owners, with the most recent custodian retaining the car for approximately six years, it has clearly been cared for properly. Maintenance has been carried out consistently by Jaguar main dealers, with the most recent service completed in March 2026. All recalls, updates and factory modifications have been completed and, naturally, the maintenance records are present.

As the condition of the battery pack is understandably an important consideration, we recently commissioned an independent Aviloo battery test. The results show a State of Health of 88.1%, an entirely respectable figure for an I-PACE with this mileage. More importantly, the car drives, performs and functions exactly as one would expect from a properly maintained Jaguar.

The I-PACE is fast, very fast. The steering is beautifully judged and the road holding exceeds expectations. With 400 horsepower and all-wheel drive, performance is certainly not in short supply. Yet that is not what impresses most. Rather, it is the effortless manner in which the car gathers speed. No vibrations, no engine noise, just smooth and seamless performance.

This Jaguar is generously equipped and features Apple CarPlay, Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic High Beam Assist, parking sensors, a panoramic roof, Easy Entry and an electrically adjustable driving position that makes long journeys particularly comfortable.

Like many Jaguars, this I-PACE proves surprisingly practical in everyday use. Interior space is generous, the luggage compartment is more than adequate and, thanks to the tow bar, carrying bicycles or towing a small trailer is equally straightforward.

Perhaps most impressive of all is how little wear the car betrays. No rattles, no tired interior. Anyone stepping inside without knowing the mileage would likely assume it to be considerably lower.

The I-PACE presents exactly as a Jaguar should: fresh, well-kept and thoroughly contemporary. Naturally, after years of faithful service there are a few minor signs of use, but beyond a handful of light marks to the front and rear bumpers, there is very little to report.

We have had the Jaguar professionally machine polished, while the interior has been thoroughly cleaned and detailed. The most recent service was carried out by a Jaguar main dealer in March 2026.

There is much more that could be said about this Jaguar. However, it is only once you spend time behind the wheel that you truly begin to understand it. That is when it becomes clear why so many owners remain loyal to their I-PACE for years on end.
